The Original Boutique is celebrating women’s originality and individual sense of style. It’s for real women who enjoy fashion, and appreciate the convenience of shopping online, but like the convenience of clothing suiting and fitting them! Having searched the UK for the perfect collection, the site highlights the best of independent and up-and-coming designers, who’s beautifully designed and great quality garments give you sophisticated designer pieces at high street prices.

The idea for the boutique came in the shower on a cold Monday morning early in 2007, and it just evolved. After years of struggling to find clothes that fit well, especially when shopping online – where you can’t try on! Realising other women were affected by this too, we decided to go back to basics and bring back shopping by measurements…our grandmothers really would be proud!

Shopping by measurements allows customers to check that garments will fit before buying, thus eradicating the usual reason for returning goods, which is a hassle to every online fashion shopper! Other elements have been built into the site to hopefully make it easier to find the perfect piece, such as close up material swatches, comments on each garment and contact details so you can ask any of those shopping questions!

Its not only shoppers we need to think about…so Ethical and Green issues have been considered when creating the boutique; I’m afraid you will not find any £8 dresses here! You’ll find many garments are handmade, and the majority are made in the UK. We don’t support slave labour but beautiful clothing that are loved from first stitch to last thread!
