Q. How do I measure myself?

A. See the how to shop page on help, this has instructions on how to measure yourself. Remember you can store your measurements in the ‘My Boutique’ section, so you don’t have to measure yourself each time you shop for fashion. If you need a tape measure contact us with your full name and address.

Q. I’ve forgotton my password?

A. When you set up your ‘My Boutique’ you will have chosen a security question and answer. Enter My Boutique and select forgotten password. You can then enter your login ID and select your question and the answer. If you can not remember your login ID you can select 'I don't know my login ID' and you will need to enter your e-mail address that is stored, as well as choose and answer your security question. Your login ID and password will then be sent to your e-mail account.

Q. Where do you get your clothing from?

A. There is no specific place, lots of time has been spent finding these gorgeous clothes, bags, accessories and jewellery for you to purchase in one place. We generally buy direct from the fashion designer, enabling these amazing prices.

Q. I really like a dress, but it’s not in my size?

A. Many of the fashion sold on The Original Boutique are exclusive, and there may only be a limited number sold per design, this means that the size you want may not be available at all. However, get in touch via the contact us form and we’ll find out if the size you want is available. It is possible that if it is not, the designer will make something similar in the same size.

Q. When should I expect delivery?

A. This depends on what delivery option you selected. We use Royal Mail, who will not guarantee next day delivery on their first class recorded mail service, so we cannot either! However, its fair to say that usually first class will be delivered the next day, as long as you ordered before 12pm!

If you need something next day, you can order ‘special delivery’ which although costs more, it is guaranteed.

Q. Are you looking for any new fashion designers?

A. We are always on the lookout for new fashion designers, if you do design clothing, accessories, bags or jewellery get in touch with your look book or some photos. Likewise if you know of a label that would fit in well with our ethos please get in touch by ringing or use the contact us form.

Q. I’m looking for something a bit special, can you help?

A. We like to think that all of our collection is rather special, as many garments are one offs. But if you want something that is very exclusive use the advanced search section on the ‘shop’ page and under ‘exclusivity’ you can select one off items only. We are hoping to offer a made to measure service soon too, this will also be located in the exclusivity field of the advanced search, and will mean your purchase will fit you like a glove.

Another option is by having something bespoke made, if you are interested in having a one off design made for you, get in touch on the contact us form, and we will discuss this with the designers for you.

Q. I can’t find any Jeans?

A. That’s because we don’t stock jeans! It is so hard to find the perfect fit jeans, and you generally have to try on 50 pairs while looking. We have therefore decided not to sell them. We do however have some gorgeous tops that look great with jeans!

Q. Can anybody else access my boutique?

A. Not unless they have your username and password! Even we can’t access your boutique; it is purely your personal space. Our system uses details given to recommend items to you, it also helps us with stocking the right clothing for our members, however it is electronic and I promise there is no snooping!

Q. I don’t have a tape measure, so how can I take my measurements?

A. You can still shop by traditional sizes, and you will know from shopping elsewhere whether you fit in that size bracket. Check out the measurement guide on each item, as it will have advice on the sizes, such as ‘ this designer uses generous measurements for the chest, a size 12 could possibly fit a size 14’. The measurement system just enables you to get a better fit!

Q. Can I send something as a gift?

A. Yes!! Because we think everyone deserves a gift, each order is sent out gift-wrapped with tissue paper, scented beads and ribbon. But if you are buying a garment for someone else you can get it sent direct to him or her. Type in the name and address of the lucky person in the delivery field and in the notes section write a message to them and we’ll send them a complimentary card (from you) also.
